Filming & Photography at Tremayne House
Tremayne House, the gardens, barns, cottages and farmhouse are all available as filming and photography locations.
Tremayne House is a Grade II Listed country home, largely updated in the early C19th to create a fine example of a Georgian Regency property. Parts of the house date to the C17th, giving the house an interesting feel and layout. The exterior parts of the house retain their original appearance, while the inside has been sympathetically restored and maintains many original features.
Notable features: Large sash windows flood the house with light and provide countryside views. There are two full height bay windows, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor, both of which could provide a beautiful setting for still photographs or for filming. The turning staircase with a double height window and part-galleried landing has been used for modern wedding photography but would be equally appropriate for a period piece. There are unique Gothic-style windows on both the first and ground floor to the rear of the house. The rooms have high ceilings and are spacious – allowing for ease of movement during shoots.
The Farmhouse has been completely restored and provides luxury holiday accommodation but can also be used for filming or photography. The modern kitchen has been used for food and lifestyle photography, and recipe-video production.
Outside, there are lawned and planted areas of the garden, including an attractive orchard, vegetable patch, and woodland. The large unheated pool has a feature fireplace and deck. The entrance to the property features two large listed pillars, framing the house when viewed from the lane. The barns are, in the most part, unmodernised, offering interesting composition options for photography or videography.
